Privacy notice

OlaSky helps you explore the sky and prepare charts for your selected time and location. No account is required. The Android app has no advertising, analytics or payment SDKs.

Location and compass

If you grant location permission, OlaSky uses your phone’s location to calculate your local horizon and charts on your device. You can choose a city instead. Compass and orientation readings align the sky view. OlaSky does not transmit these sensor readings or your GPS coordinates to our servers.

City search

Online city search sends the place name you type to Open-Meteo over HTTPS. That provider also receives your IP address and ordinary connection information. Do not enter personal information in city search. Built-in and previously saved cities work without online search.

Open-Meteo states that it may retain technical server logs for up to 90 days for maintenance, troubleshooting and misuse prevention. Its policy is available at open-meteo.com/en/terms. City data is provided by Open-Meteo and GeoNames.

Data on your device

The selected location, recent city choices and display preferences are stored on your device. Chart calculations take place locally. You can remove saved app data through Android Settings → Apps → OlaSky Lagna Finder → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the app. You can revoke location permission through Android Settings.

Support and deletion requests

If you contact us, we receive the information you include in your message and use it to respond. Avoid sending sensitive birth details or location history. For privacy questions or deletion of support correspondence, contact dojigers@gmail.com. We do not maintain an OlaSky user account or a server-side GPS history to delete.

Young users

OlaSky is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13.

Changes

We will update this notice if the app’s data practices change. The date above identifies this version.
