Planning a Kerala wedding often starts with several calendars on the table: the families’ available dates, a venue booking, travel from abroad and the Acharyan’s schedule. A Muhurtham search is most useful when it helps narrow those choices rather than producing a time that nobody can practically use.

Start with the place where the wedding will happen
The event location is not necessarily either person’s birthplace. A couple born in different cities may marry in Kochi. Their birth locations belong in the personal details; Kochi belongs in the ceremony-location field.
This distinction is particularly important for NRI families. If relatives are coordinating arrangements from Dubai or Perth, they should still read the candidate times as local times at the wedding venue. The result states the location’s time zone so the family can plan around one clear clock.
Choose a month before choosing a date
A month search gives you a manageable set of dates to discuss with the venue and the person conducting the ceremony. If the month is flexible, the year search can help you explore a wider range before making bookings. The result depends on the occasion and checks selected; a date that appears for one search need not appear in another.
There is a practical advantage to keeping two or three possible dates in mind. A suitable interval may coincide with a venue that is unavailable, a difficult flight connection or a family commitment. Compare the available options before treating one date as final.
Why include both birth charts?
A general auspicious-time search and a wedding search involving two birth charts are not identical. Adding the participants provides information for the personal checks implemented in the service. It can therefore reduce the list compared with a general search for the same month and location.
Horoscope matching and Muhurtham also have different roles. Pathu Porutham examines the match between the two horoscopes. Muhurtham examines candidate times for an occasion. Read the window, not just the first time
Each result gives a start and finish. The interval is the available window for the relevant part of the ceremony, not an instruction to arrive at the venue at the last minute. Ask the Acharyan which action should fall within it and work backwards to allow preparation, guests’ arrival and any preceding rituals.

Avoid adding time outside the listed interval simply to fit a booking. Instead, discuss a different window or another date.
What if the search returns no times?
An empty result means no window met all the selected checks and duration requirements for that search. It does not explain every possible tradition or ceremony arrangement. Review the chosen occasion, month, place and required duration, then consider a different month with your Acharyan. No PDF download is offered when there are no suitable windows.
The final decision should include the person conducting the ceremony. OlaMatch’s list comes from its Panchang-based calculations; methods and family customs can differ. Give the Acharyan the available list and the details used in the search before confirming the venue or travel plans.
Keep the family documents together
A wedding discussion is easier when both families can refer to the same information. Keep the personal Jathakams, the Porutham report and the selected Muhurtham list as separate, clearly named documents. If you need the birth-chart document first, create a Jathakam.
