Your birth star, Moon sign and Lagna describe different things. A horoscope can list all three without contradiction. The useful question is which one a form or astrologer is asking for.
Three labels to keep separate

In the usual 27-part nakshatra system, each division spans 13°20′. A zodiac sign spans 30°. These are different partitions of the circle, so a nakshatra name is not another name for a sign. Some nakshatras cross a sign boundary.
A worked example: Rohini
In the standard sidereal mapping, Rohini occupies 10° to 23°20′ of Vrishabham (Taurus). A person whose birth Moon is in Rohini therefore has Vrishabham as their Moon sign under that mapping.
That does not establish the person’s Lagna. The rising point needs the birth instant and location. Two people with the same birth star can have different Lagnas and different overall charts.

Which sign should I choose for OlaMatch’s daily horoscope?
Use your Janmarashi, the Moon sign recorded in the birth details. OlaMatch’s daily pages are organised by Moon sign. Do not substitute the Lagna or a Sun sign from a birthday-based magazine horoscope.
A daily Moon-sign page gives a general traditional outlook shared by people in that group. It is different from a report calculated from your individual birth details. If you do not know your Moon sign, check a reliable birth record or horoscope instead of guessing from the English month of birth.
Can the label change during a birth day?
Yes: the Moon moves, and it can cross a sign or nakshatra boundary during the day. A calendar’s label at one stated time does not necessarily describe every birth on that date. The date alone may not settle a near-boundary case.
